Gentle, in side-lying
Ayurvedic pregnancy massage in Zurich
Any month. Side-lying only.

Ayurvedic pregnancy massage is a gentle oil massage in a stable side-lying position, with cushions under head, bump and knees, adapted to the trimester you are in. I treat at any month of pregnancy.
Pregnancy changes posture, weight distribution and sleep — usually all at once. The focus goes where it most often presses: lower back, shoulders, neck, heavy legs. And on something that is easily overlooked — an hour in which nobody needs anything from you.

How a pregnancy massage runs
Talking first
We go through your week of pregnancy, any symptoms and any medical advice before anything begins.
Getting the position right
Stable side-lying with cushions under head, bump and knees. We keep adjusting until it is genuinely comfortable.
Gentle work
Back, shoulders, neck, legs. Light pressure, warm oil, plenty of time in few places.
Resting
You get up when you are ready. There is no clock pressure here.
Common questions
Pregnancy massage — Common questions
From when can I come for a pregnancy massage?
At any month, as long as the pregnancy is uncomplicated. If there are symptoms or diagnoses, please bring a note from your doctor — then I know what I am working with.
Will I be lying on my front?
No. The whole treatment takes place in side-lying, with cushions under head, bump and knees. It is safe and, for most people, far more comfortable than it sounds.
Which oils do you use?
Mild, well-tolerated plant oils, without the essential oils that are not recommended during pregnancy. If you are sensitive to smells — which is common — I use a neutral oil.
