Work on the vital points
Marma point treatment in Zurich
Minutes on a single point. For heads that will not stop.

In ayurvedic teaching, marma points are places where muscles, tendons, vessels and nerve pathways meet. There are 107 of them. In treatment I work with gentle, very precise pressure — often only with the fingertips, often for minutes at a single point.
This is the quietest treatment I offer. From the outside it looks like almost nothing is happening. For people who cannot switch off, it is frequently the most effective one, because there is nothing here for the body to resist.
Sanskrit: मर्म — “vulnerable place, junction”

How a marma session runs
Assessment
We talk about where the tension sits and how you have been sleeping. Then I find the points that respond.
Gentle pressure
Point by point, with steady, light pressure. Sometimes simply holding, sometimes small circling movements.
Head, face, neck
The area where mental strain shows most clearly — and usually the first to soften.
Stillness
At the end nothing more happens. Those minutes are part of the treatment.
Common questions
Marma therapy — Common questions
Does marma treatment hurt?
No. The pressure is deliberately light. Some points feel tender at first; that usually eases within a few breaths.
Is marma the same as acupressure?
Related, but not the same. Acupressure comes from Chinese medicine and follows meridians. Marma comes from Ayurveda and works with different points and a different understanding of anatomy. Marma contact is usually softer and held for longer.
Can I combine it with a massage?
Yes. In a 90-minute session, Abhyanga followed by marma work on the head and neck is a very popular combination.
